Today I’m very lucky to be interviewing Belinda Meyers, author of Bear Run.
Hi Belinda, thank you for agreeing to this interview. Tell us a little about yourself and your background?
I’m from Austin, Texas, and I attended the University of Texas here at Austin and now live with my husband and cubs here in the Hill Country of Central Texas, where I write up a storm every day.
What are your ambitions for your writing career?
I would love for Bear Run to be a big hit and to go on writing paranormal romances forever. I’ve been writing under a pen name or two, and I’ve loved it, but I’ve always been drawn to paranormal romance. I like my romance with a side of fantasy, so shifter romance is perfect. Or should I say purrrfect? CoughI’manerdcough.
So, what have you written?
Bear Run is my first paranormal romance, the first in my Pine Ridge Bear Shifter Series. It just released yesterday, but already it’s garnered a whole bunch of reviews from my Launch Team, who loved it. I think it’s currently at 4.5 stars, which is pretty wonderful. And very gratifying!
Where can we buy or see them?
Give us an insight into your main character. What does he/she do that is so special?
Alice is a small-town mountain girl raised by a family that hates shifters and thinks they’re demons. When they go out hunting these “demons”, Alice stops them and saves the bear they’re about to kill — only to find out he’s a hunky bear shifter named Taggart. He’s been raised by a fanatical group of bear shifters to hate humans, and he’s on the run from them. Alice is forced to flee from her family, who turn on her when she defends Taggart. On the run, can Alice and Taggart find happiness together?
What are you working on at the minute?
Bear Run is the first book in my Pine Ridge Bear Shifter Series. Currently, I’m working on Book Two, Bear Mated. It should come out soon.
