This is one of the better books I have read in a while. It was funny and suspenseful.  I could barely put it down.  When I was not reading it, I was thinking about the characters and the plot.  I can’t wait for the next book.  This book is a must read for any lovers of the Twilight series.  The beginning reminded me so much of it because of the teen angst and her fascination and obsession with the “truth.”  I love this couple.  I highly recommend this book.

Overall, I liked the main characters, but I didn’t really get into the plot until about 70% into the book.  The plot felt like it was dragging and the characters were so filled with self-doubt that it made it hard to concentrate on liking them together but towards the end I found myself relaxing and really feeling the connection between the characters once they seemed to find more equal footing.

This book really was a page turner. It was so easy to empathize with Meg, the main character. I felt the pain of her relationship and the pain of trying to begin college and friendships that aren’t always what we expect. This book really grabbed me because it was an usual concept of possession. Good read! I highly recommend it and look forward to the next book.

All Night Long (Black Halo, Book 1)by Madelynne Ellis

This book really depends on what you are looking for in a book. If you are looking for a book that is 85% hot, steamy sex, then this is your book. If you are looking for exciting plot development, then this might not be the book for you. Majority of the book is Ash’s inner conflict about his band, his life, love, and his sex issues. By the time Ash makes his choice, I was exhausted with his issues. I liked the idea of the book but on some levels it was too deep and on others too superficial. It felt like the whole book was just a set up for the next book and maybe that was the intent. The question I keep asking myself is, “Do I want to read the next one?” The jury is still out on that one.

This book kept me up all night reading.  I could not put it down.  The story line is so mysterious and the end grips the reader and refuses to let the reader stop reading.  At times, the book becomes almost too cryptic, and I just wanted to yell out, “Just tell Rowan the secret already!”  Alas, the secret is finally revealed which left me screaming for the next novel.

This book had it all.  There were times where I was on the edge of my seat waiting desperately for the next moment; there were other times I found myself laughing out loud at the strange situations Beth finds herself in and some of the things that came out of her mouth were hilarious.  Alex is a wonderful leading male who is protective and sexy yet gives Beth enough room to become the heroine of the novel.  It’s a sexy, wild ride I would highly recommend.

I was torn between giving this a 4 or a 5 because the story line was going really well before the abrupt ending.  There are so many amazing places to take this story that it must be a teaser for a new novel.  If not, that would be a shame. The book didn’t feel rushed even though it was a novella, but I was left wanting much more.  There was some definite heat between the two main characters and I hope to see more of them in the future.

This book was beyond HOT!  This book not only had some majorly sexy sex scenes but the plot kept me reading wanting to know who Lily will choose.  I identified with the main character being close to 40 myself and it felt good to see a main character in a “mid-life” crises and find her way out.  I was inspired by her strength and ability to embrace what many people fear-love and the unknown.  One of my new favorite authors.
